Day 1: Yoplait's Two Week Tuneup

Well, it's official! Today is the beginning of a healthier me. You see I'm overweight. I really don't have a good excuse. I could blame it on my disease, but I won't. There is no real excuse for letting myself gain 20 pounds in four months.

I'm starting my weight loss journey with the 2 Week Tune Up from Yoplait.

It's Easy
Replace breakfast and lunch with a Yoplait® Light, a grain and a fruit
Eat a sensible dinner rich in lean protein, and your favorite vegetables for snacks
Choose 3 additional servings of non-fat dairy, like skim milk
Stay active with 30-40 minutes of walking every day.

Follow me daily as I blog about my progress and at the end of weeks 1 and 2 weigh in.

Because of my work schedule I will be eating lunch and substituting a Yoplait for dinner Monday-Thursday. 

Beginning weight: 240

Today's food and exercise diary: Tuesday May 1st, 2012

Exercise: 30 minutes walking in Wal-Mart .
Water: 4 16.9 oz bottles

Breakfast: around 8 a.m.
1 6 oz cup Yoplait lite strawberry banana yogurt
1 cup Multi grain Cherrios
1 cup slim milk
3/4 cup blackberries

Snack: 10:50 a.m.
1 cup each sliced mushrooms and zucchini eaten throughout the day.

Lunch: 2 p.m
1 6 oz. cup Yoplait lite vanilla yogurt 
L.C. Chicken Pecan Dinner

Dinner: around 8:30 p.m.
 1 6 oz. cup Yoplait Lite Boston Cream Pie yogurt
1 cup Multi grain Cheerios
1 cup slim milk
3/4 sliced strawberries

Had my 3 extra servings of dairy

All in all, I think my first day went well. Only time will tell...
