- Speak up: Make your voice heard. Promote gender agenda. Give a woman without a choice a voice.
- Speak out: Women are bullied and abused every second somewhere in the world. The sad reality is most of what happens to these women goes unnoticed. There voices are silenced. There choices are limited by the countries they live in and by their culture. Give a woman without a voice a choice.

Each year around the world, International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8. Thousands of events occur not just on this day but throughout March to mark the economic, political and social achievements of women.
"The Gender Agenda: Gaining Momentum" is the 2013 theme of International Women's Day.
Today is International Women's Day. This is my second year to participate through blogging. Last year's post was Connecting Girls, Inspiring Futures. This year I want to talk about what "The Gender Agenda: Gaining Momentum" means to women around the world.
Many countries will celebrate women. Today countries come together to focus on their women and what needs to be done to provide resources and choices. In 2013 women of the world need to gain momentum in their lives. Without the proper resources many women are helpless in countries that don't care. One day isn't really enough time for a lot of women in countries that consider women property. These women don't have choices without voices.
What can you do as a woman with the many freedoms not afforded to those women?
On this day and the days ahead woman of freedom give a woman with no voice and no choice a chance to gain momentum when you stand up and let your voice be heard. Your voice matters today. Become part of "The Gender Agenda: Gaining Momentum". Be part of the solution, not the problem. Give a woman a voice. Give a woman a choice.
