Disclosure: I received a product for review and giveaway from Twinlab. However, all opinions are my own.
I am so excited to offer one lucky High Heels and Hot Flashes reader a chance to participate on the CleanSeries by Twinlab - The ultimate sports nutrition series! giveaway.

I'm trying the product and I'd love for one of my readers to try it along with me. I received Twinlab Whey Protein Isolate for review and thanks to Twinlab one lucky reader will have a chance to win their own canister.

I chose the vanilla(which is yummy). It's also available in chocolate.

From Twinlab:
  • No artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners
  • Non-GMO & banned substance tested
  • 23g protein per serving from premium cross flow ultra filtered Whey Protein Isolate
  • Promotes muscle repair and helps reduce recovery time*
  • Instantized for easy, no-blender-required mixing
  • No fat and only 2g sugar
  • Low in lactoseX
  • Low glycemic index
  • Easily digestible
  • No preservatives added
  • No wheat, fish or egg added
  • No yeast or starch ingredients
X There is a very small amount of lactose 0.06 – 0.28 g (typical is 0.06 g) per serving.

Whey isolate is one of the highest quality protein sources, and Twinlab Clean Series Whey Protein Isolate delivers 23g of this superior ingredient per serving to help you build lean muscle and reduce recovery time after exercise.* Whey isolate is ideal for athletes because it’s naturally rich in glutamine and desirable branched chain amino acids (BCAAs) without the fat that often accompanies other whey sources.
This delicious formula mixes easily – no more dealing with clumps or globs! – and is absorbed faster than many other sources of protein.

Add 1 scoop (33 g) to 6-8 oz of cold water, shake or blend for about 5 seconds and enjoy. For best results, use as part of a proper diet and exercise program.
Certified Gluten Free by NSF®, an independent laboratory.

I am eating better but still not eating enough protein. I'm also going through perimenopause, so I could use any and all nutritional additives that might be able to help me get the total nutrition. I'm also trying to quit eating meat so that also doesn't help. This seems like a fairly easy and not-too-awful tasting way to keep my protein numbers up.

I would love to win this as I eat a low carb diet and there are many recipes I would love to try that utilize whey protein powder. You can utilize this powder in everything from smoothies, to pancakes, and I even saw a post of someone using it to make funnel cakes! I don't know if I would go that far, but I would try some of the others. Thank you so much for the wonderful giveaway!
