Human rights affects everyone. This is my third year participating and my first year posting on this blog. The focus of this year's Blog Action Day is human rights. Today take a stand and blog for human rights. Tomorrow, take a stand and stand up for those who don't have a voice.
Founded in 2007, Blog Action Day brings together bloggers from different countries, interests and languages to blog about one important global topic on the same day. Past topics have included Water, Climate Change, Poverty, Food and the Power of We, with over 25,000 blogs taking part since 2007.
Blog Action Day will be held on October 16, 2013 and will focus on the topic Human Rights.
Today I want to showcase one brave young lady who is the essence and face of human rights: Malala Yousafzai
Malala Yousafzai is championing for not only girl's rights but human rights. She has faced adversity and stared death in the face, but came out a champion fighter. To help Malala champion for human rights go to Malala Fund.org. To learn more about Malala pick up a copy of 'I Am Malala'.
To learn more about human rights go to Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
