Danica Patrick Helps Fight Breast Cancer/Introduces Pink Cars #BCA

Monday, October 7, 2013
NASCAR star Danica Patrick along with Chevrolet Racing and GoDaddy help launch National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Danica unveiled her GoDaddy #10 Chevy race car, which has been painted pink for the entire month of October, and the Chevrolet Camaro SS pink pace car that will be used in upcoming races.

Danica had a close friend recently receive a double mastectomy, so it is a cause that hits close to home for her. She had the opportunity to meet some breast cancer survivors earlier in the month at Atlanta Motor Speedway, and with teammate Kasey Kahne, give them rides in the pink pace car.

For every lap led by the Camaro pace car, General Motors will donate $200 to the American Cancer Society. Since 2011 Chevy has donated $2.2 million to aid in breast cancer awareness. The pink Camaro pace car will also be driven at the Sprint Cup Series races at Talladega Motor Speedway on Oct. 19 and Martinsville Oct. 26.
