Novica Review and Giveaway-#sponsored #review #giveaway

Disclosure: I received compensation in exchange for this post. However, all opinions are my own.

If your not familiar with NOVICA, then your in for a treat. NOVICA  is a wonderful website in association with National Geographic that provides artisans around the world an opportunity to share and sell their hand-crafted goods with the world.

I love NOVICA! I was first introduced to this great website when I won a gift certificate. I was thrilled when I got the chance to review their website and received a $25 gift certificate. NOVICA offers a variety of hand-crafted products starting under $5. I chose a Recycled Metal Cupid's Arrow Sculpture  which normally retails for $40.95 but on sale for $19.99.
Recycling bolts and auto parts, Miguel Mejia creates a whimsical sculpture. The heart is pierced by Cupid's arrow and is totally in love.

  • Recycled auto parts
  • Features a rustic, rugged finish
  • Promotes recycling and reduces waste: crafted with recycled metal pieces.
  • Each work is unique. Recycled parts will vary from piece to piece based on availability.
  • Made in Peru
About the artist:

I'm Juan Miguel Mej√≠a Caillahua, born June, 30, 1978 in Lima. I'm a self-taught and impassioned artist, satisfied with the wonderful artistry I carry in my hands. I was only a 13 year-old child when I began to make my own toys, especially gargoyles. I used to tear apart other toys and use their components to create my own versions. That's how I got into making sculptures, but this time recycling mechanical parts. At that time, I was also very much into music and played on my dad's guitar. I composed about 30 original tunes for my heavy metal band.
"I would like to send Andean greetings to Novica clients. I would like to thank you for your company and support when you visit this virtual gallery featuring my sculptures. The fact that you can see them from your home fills me with the desire and energy to continue creating more art works."

By supporting NOVICA, you are supporting artisans around the world. One lucky reader will win a $25.00 gift code to NOVICA. Just enter on the rafflecopter below.

I love the moon stone cross necklace I would get that one as I have had it on my wish list a while now

  1. This is kind of tricky - given that there are currently OVER 600 items on my Novica Wishlist - and it happens to be my favorite place to shop in the whole wide world! (I love shopping at Etsy stores too.)

Among those items topping my current wish list are two gorgeous beaded necklace by Nareerat of Thailand (I love ALL of her amazing creations!) - both are essentially the same necklace using differents stones (colors):

Lapis lazuli beaded necklace, 'Afternoon Blue' and also the Citrine variation "Afternoon Sun." Thanks!
