World Cancer Day

Tuesday, February 4, 2014

Chances are that you, or someone you know and love has been touched by cancer. This terrible disease affects 1 in 3 Americans, claiming the lives of nearly 1,600 individuals each day. If trends continue, global cancer rates are expected to almost double by 2030!

This February 4th, join the National Foundation for Cancer Research as we rally to raise awareness and save lives. It's the perfect time to say enough is enough — cancer has taken too many lives for too long a time.

They fund some of the most innovative, promising cancer research on the planet for all forms of cancer — research that's launched many life-saving treatments. Prizing unconventional thinking and international collaboration, NFCR scientists will make the discoveries that will lead to cures for all cancers. But how soon we find a cure is up to you.

Each dollar you give brings us one step closer to making cancer preventable and treatable. Your gift will last far past World Cancer Day — it will spur the cycle of research that continues to save lives. Projects seeded by your gift will expand as our work goes from the lab to patients long after this day of action has passed!

  1. It is certainly a disease that's touched my life more than once.
